Before you go
September offers excellent conditions: Water flow is reduced enough for clear views, weather is warm and dry, Devil's Pool opens (usually mid-August to January), and it's shoulder season with fewer crowds. Perfect for photography and activities.
November can be challenging: Early rains begin, water flow increases creating heavy spray (the "smoke"), and humidity rises. However, the falls are powerful and green, temperatures are warm (25-30°C), and it's less crowded than peak season.
January is peak rainy season: Maximum water flow creates incredible power but heavy spray can obscure views. Temperatures are hot (25-30°C) with frequent afternoon thunderstorms. Some activities may be limited due to high water levels.
The Zimbabwe side offers: 75% of the viewpoints, better panoramic views, the main falls viewpoint, Devil's Cataract, Danger Point, and excellent photography spots. The town has more infrastructure, shops, and restaurants. Entrance: $30 for international visitors.
There was one notable accident in 2012 where a cord snapped, but the jumper survived with minor injuries. Safety procedures have since been enhanced. The operators have completed thousands of successful jumps with an excellent safety record overall.
It's a mini-golf course in Bath, England (not at the actual falls) themed around Victoria Falls. Features waterfalls, caves, and African-themed obstacles. Popular family attraction but unrelated to the actual waterfall in Africa.
